So you have finally caught the lying, cheating jerk and now you are preparing to leave your cheating husband. It’s about time too, because if you think that it is the first time he has cheated, you may be interested in knowing that recent statistics show that it is most likely not. Studies also have revealed that should you decide to take him back, it’s only a matter of time before he winds up cheating on you again.

Get Legally Protected When Preparing To Leave a Cheating Husband

The first thing that you need to do if you are preparing to leave a cheating husband is to take the steps that are necessary to insure that you are legally protected. Perhaps you have already heard the stores of women that have gone on credit card shopping sprees and ruined their husbands and “her” credit in the process just prior to a legal separation. Well guess what!? Men do it too! All the time!

File For a Legal Separation

Go down to your bank and clean out any and all bank accounts before he does and then file for legal separation. A legal separation is the means by which you are legally separated from your husbands personal legal and financial dealings. Don’t worry about any personal property devisions, because that will be handled in the divorce.

Often times a husband will intimidate or guilt trip a wife into moving out and allowing him to stay in the home during legal separation. If you find that your husband is being completely unreasonable and adamantly refuses to leave then you have one good option to get him out without a violent confrontation.

Preparing To Leave a Cheating Husband By Evicting Him From Your Home

That is to head on down to your local court house and ask the court clerk to help you to file for an “emergency” restraining order.
Tell the judge that he is intimidating and frightening you and that you feel threatened and he will most likely grant you the restraining order. Wait until he is gone and then call the cops to come over while you evict your husband. Then call him on his cell phone to tell him to come and get his clothes.

Document All Of Your Shared Possessions

Do think twice before you make up any stores about a phony physical assault because women do that all the time now and judges are less than sympathetic to it. Also, if it can be proven that you lied and made false statements to the court, it can come back to haunt you in the final divorce. If you do plan on being the one to move out of your shared home, be sure to videotape all of your furniture and possessions before you leave.
